Intl. correspondent
Welcome to the sub 1:30 in a half marathon, 2017 thread.Big thanks to Watson for taking care of the 2016 thread. This thread is for anyone AIMING to run sub 90 minutes or less in a half during 2017. So 1:3x PR people are very welcome. You are also welcome if you run faster than 1:30. You come for the advice, but you really stay for the banter and the bad jokes

The link below can help outputting weekly summaries, if you use Strava.
http://rwol-weekly.appspot.com/Here are the rules:1. Introduce yourself. Name, age, gender, height, weight, city and country, a brief running history, your personal records, recent injuries, what you do for a living, children etc.2. Your next half race, date, location, time aim, and afterwards the result.3. Post your weekly training summary each week. That way you will get personalized feedback from people who know your training log.4. Don't just disappear. Let us know how you're doing, how's recovery from the injury, what's the name of the baby, etc.5. Be a constructive poster and engage in the conversations.6. I've got a spreadsheet up and running. Note that you'll need to have posted for 3 consecutive weeks before I'll recognize your upcoming races. So if after that you're still missed, please remind me. Regular posters are exempt from this rule.

I picked up a stomach bug earlier this week during the trip, now getting over it. I'll try to run 30K this week and get back at it the next one.

Good to see we survived Runnersworld armageddon .
Flavio I was seeing lots of 6km runs at 6 mins/km so I thought you werent 100 %. Thats not your normal easy pace right ?
Jmac well at least I got you on Strava now.
Good to see all you other guys over here.
Im running without much of a goal right now which takes pressure off me but makes it hard to be fully motivated. A good local Strava segment this week gave me some motivation after I got 4th OA on a 1.7 km climb of 175m which is a popular running route.
The Berlin Marathon was fun to watch. I like looking at the running styles, Kipchoge so smoothe and lovely heel lift, Adola much lower leg swing and looks annoyingly slow when running sub 3 min/km !
RWOL has already killed the forums. They didn't even give us to the end of the week like they stated!
Yep all that running history wiped !
It reminds me of races that get canned after a few years and all the online info disappears with it. I ran the Waikato Half twice running PBs both times and my 2nd best time 1.21.30 in the last one and then it was never held again.
Piwi - those 6min pace runs are when running with the girlfriend. My easy pace is slightly under 5 per km these days.
It looks like many of the groups switched here, I'll be glad to lurk them here as well.
Flavio phew I thought you had slowed down
