Return To Racing

My 2 year old FT7 starts ok, but stops after a few minutes.  I replaced both batteries and washed the belt, but it still fails.  Should I buy a  new chest strap (about $15 I think), or should I scrap the whole thing?  It is out of warranty.

Okay, I'll answer myself.  Previously, I held the strap contacts under  running water and squeezed the water in a little before a run.  So now,  I put a little warm water in the sink and let the contacts soak for a few seconds.  So far, it is working again. Go Figure ???

My F6 has started  having condensation inside after I paid Polar for them to do battery replacement. Since then the light made a I'm dying sound and doesn't work and there are some unusual lines on the display making some numbers hard to read.  This is of no help to you whatsoever, but I joining in to have a whine myself. I use mine as my everyday watch so I'm a little miffed.

One day I decided I wanted to become a runner, so I did.
