1st place and an honorable mention!  The tandem photo is also in the 2014 Co-Motion bikes catalog.  I've scored some pretty excellent schwag from that single shot.

Thanks!  I took a whole bunch mediocre shots of them zipping by to get that one.

Congratulations; looks like your son made you work for that shot.  Smile

I grew up cycling all over Michigan and flipping though those shots brought back memories of riding the rural Michigan roads back in the 1970s.  Smile

Your profile shot looks like you're still in MI (or at least someplace MI-like).  Rural roads are the best.  We're in Grand Haven, now, but formerly were in Montague for nearly 13 years.  I like living in GH, but I preferred running and riding up north…I could run a 6 mile rectangle and not see more than 4-5 cars.  I miss that.

Thanks!  Now we just need that skinny kid to make use of his twiggy frame and massive lungs/ribcage.  He's so friggin' lazy and it kills me.  He'd be one hell of a distance runner/cyclist if he actually had the ambition to do so.

I left Michigan back in 1975 and returned only for a few months in 1979; in the meantime I've lived in San Diego, Quantico, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit (1979), Cupertino, Chicago, Dallas, Manhattan, Stuttgart, Bergen County New Jersey, and now finally in the southern part of New Hampshire (where the profile shot was taken).  Michigan and New Hampshire have a lot in common, numerous rural roads and trails, thousands of hidden and (seemingly) unnamed lakes and ponds, a bazillion mosquitoes, and plenty of snow in the winter.  Smile
