Hip tightness (Read 44 times)

    Hi everyone!

I'm asking my question in a runners' forum because you guys are always so knowledgeable, but this started before I returned to running. I don't want to do something that might cause injury before I've barely started.

About four months ago, perhaps, my hips, mainly my right one, started feeling very tight, mostly in the upper part of the hip. I feel it when I walk, lean on my right leg, or sometimes when I stand up. It doesn't hurt so much as feel extraordinary tight, but I've never felt this before.

I thought it could be from sitting so much, especially sitting on my couch which I often do because I can, since I work remotely. The couch lets your hips sink down and I thought that position was doing something. So I've tried to avoid that. I've gotten a standing desk. And I walk 2.5 to 3 miles perhaps 3 days a week (now walking and running), and do other workouts at least 2 other days. But it seems to be getting worse, not better. I don't know what to do. Any thoughts?
