Ageing and running (Read 630 times)

In the past year I haven't had much time to post but I had to share this http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/0261.htm. So I'll just keep on working hard. Ewa

I am sure that age does catch up with you at some time. I turn 60 in another month, but last week I ran my fastest half marathon in 27 years (1:29:34) -- and have been getting some great advice from a runner who is 62 and is running faster that he was 10 years ago (and runs a 1:26 half). I lived in South Africa for a year, and saw some amazing times by people in their 70's. I think a lot of it has to do with attitude and conditioning.

Hi all, looks like post I can relate, getting older, so know what its like to get out there, I have posted a few times but mainly just snoop around the the different sites, most people seem to have a lot better advise than I can give and I can use it most the time myself, well enough rambling I keep going out even tho the knees get stiff because the feeling being fit is worth it, also I have 19 grand kids and it is the only way I can keep up with them and act like a big kid, just wanted to respond to something and stay active a little bit on the site. be carefull out there. Cool Cool
