Achieved my 2008 goal! (Read 670 times)

Kenotic Runner

In 2008, it was my goal to run 1,000.

I had a horrible case of plantar fasciitis instead.

I took off the second half of 2008 from running.

My 2009 goal was to "just be able to run again."

Today, December 31, I finished my 1,000th mile for 2009.

There's something to be said for achieving a goal a year too late

This is my second year to have run 1,000 miles in the year.  This persistence accomplishment feels really good.  Even better than a couple years ago.

Excellent!  Who says it is, too late? Congratulations.

Thanks.  I thought I'd post it for the New Year's upstarts.

Achieve last year's (or last decade's) goal this year isn't that bad.  But nor is achieving this year's 2010 goal in 2011.

        Persistence.

Congrats for achieving this goal. The time frame it does not matter...what matters is what you have ran all those miles and that you enjoyed every  single mile.

Congrats! Learning to run w/o injury has been a challenge for many of us. Persistence pays off!
