Kettlebells ? (Read 275 times)

It's hard to say without knowing your current strength, but even though 16kg might can a good starting point for many males, I've started training many with 12kg.  If you're just starting out and learning on your own, I definitely recommend 12kg.  If it turns out to be too light for swings, you will still get many uses out of it with single arm training.   12's and 16's, then moving up to 20, 24 and beyond would be a good progression (I think someone above mentioned the same).  You can go lower for pressing movements, but at that point, I would choose dumbbells instead.

Whatever online resource you choose, be sure to record yourself doing the movements and compare it to the video you are following.
