I have the absolute pleasure of running with BJ McHugh. She is part of a great group of ladies who have stuck together for decades and we can't even begin to tally the number of races, age group placing etc. run together. Yesterday she smashed another world record by running the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon in just under 2:04!!!! She has overcome a broken shoulder (with surgery) and stress fractures in the last year but has faithfully kept up her strength training, water running and spinning. Probably most important to her success is her positive disposition. She is wonderful company on a rainy early morning run. Can you believe that she did not even know she broke a world record and could not attend the award ceremony because she was so preoccupied with making her grandson's soccer game? She completely embodies why we love this sport!
Goals: Marathon: break 3:40 Half marathon: break 1:42 10K: break 45:00 8 K: break 37:30

That is just sick(In a good way)! I have extreme respect for anyone who can maintain their condition over such a long period of time. Running with that lady would definitely be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
