Yellowstone Half Marathon 2014 (Read 58 times)

Is anyone considering running the first inaugural Yellowstone Half Marathon?

My two sisters and I might do it. It terrifies me: the distance, the altitude, the hill...

But they have a cushy refund policy, it'll be beautiful, it'll be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with my sisters, and they have a 4 hour cutoff, so even if I walk a chunk, I'm golden.

We spent 7 days in yellowstone a few years ago and I ran every morning ~ Some amazing runs.  I did not find the elevation to be oppressive (I live @ 750 feet above see level).

That amount of elevation change for a 1/2 marathon is not bad.

So I would not expect the whole course to add more than 10 minutes from a flat sea level course

I am fuller bodied than Dopplebock

      not bad for mile 25

That race looks amazing!  So tempting...

Have fun! It looks like it will be a great run with all that beautiful scenery!
