I'm doing the Virgin London Marathon this April Would love to hear from anyone else who's running it OR whose run it before and has advice to offer.

I'm running London as well. This is my first London and as a native Englishman I'm looking forward to it. I've heard the crowds are awesome but it is very hard to gain a Personal Best as the field is so large.
I'm also running London this year. I have done it once before, in 2009, and can attest to the large field making a fast time difficult if you are a middle-of-the-pack runner. I was literally down to walking pace several times during the first couple of miles due to congestion. But yeah, the crowd, the sights and the scenery is pretty awesome. Enjoy!
