        Wow....

I never gave this any thought, but I suppose it might be a good idea. I run in some pretty rural areas too.

          My RoadID:

          • Name
          • DOB
          • Mom's Name and Cell
          • Motivational quotes

I only have one contact and figure they can get any other information from her.

          Snarl snarl.

"In case of emergency, please call 911."

My "motivational" quote is - "Call 911 already!" ... in addition to some phone numbers and birthday year

I have the slim variety, and I wear it 24/7 - yes 24/7. I'm the forget-ful type and it's no good to me on my desk at home. Also it makes for fun conversation at the bar.

I wear mine 24/7 as well. I have a slim. Why take it off, I forget that it is even there! I wear purple 99% of the time. They sent me a $5 gift card a few weeks back in my email, so I used it to buy the other colored bands if I wanna get fancy and match stuff.

Weird thing: I just discovered this weekend that clipping my shuffle on my RoadID band is the prefect place for it when I wear long sleeves and gloves. It anchors the shuffle to a pretty solid surface that doesn't move much and it is right where my glove cuff and shirt sleeve meet, so it is easy to push the right buttons with gloves on.

My motivational saying is "Prove It!"

I decided back in August that people say a lot of shit that isn't true, each day I have a choice. Prove that I am a runner or good mother or good wife or whatever. It reminds me that each day I get up, I am nothing until I prove that I am. It gets me going anyways!

This post made me get a RoadID. Before I had never even thought about it. I just got it in the mail yesterday and it has...

                  first and last name

                  dob

                  nka, organ donor

                  emergency contact 1

                  emergency contact 2

ive worn it hiking, now I can leave my drivers listens in my wallet.

now I just need to remember to wear it running.

I've got 2 road id's- both on my shoes that I rotate....the whole "shoes getting knocked off yer feet"  thing gives me the creeps (I never really thought of that before).  I'm thinking about getting the slimline, but i'm afraid i'll forget to wear it (i'm like that with jewelry).  I wish there was a way to put my info on my garmin that i seldom forget to wear. .For those of you with the slimline, does it ride up and down your arm all day?

                    On my current road id's:

                    Name

                    Address

                    boyfriend's phone

                    mom & pop's phone

"God Speed Through Texas!" (saw this on a bathroom wall once & it has remained my go-to motivator)

When pedestrians (walkers, runners) get hit by cars it is not uncommon for them to come out of their shoes.  I've seen it before on multiple occasions with multiple patients I've treated.  It doesn't happen every time.  But it can, and does, happen.

I wear an Elite.  They are sizeable to your wrist (measure twice, cut once... seriously).  Mine does not ride up and down my arm nor is it so snug that it cuts off blood flow to my hand.  Most of the time I hardly notice it's there.  I wear mine all the time and hardly take it off.  So it's pretty comfortable.

"C" is for cookie.  That's good enough for me.

I had one made like that from CrossTrainID. Do NOT get it! It isn't durable at all and is very hard to read the lettering when itis new, forget it once you get a bit of wear on it. And it made my watchband very thick once I put it on there, so I was always snagging my shirt when I ran. I thought is was a good idea since I always had my Garmin on me(why they can't include an owner info screen on watches, I will never know since it is just a programming a fill out one thing, like I filled out a "user profile" info list on my watch so it could calc my cal burn. I realize however that during accidents, things happen and your watch might not even survive let alone EMS knowing how to find the info on the watch. But still, would be nice if they did.

Anyways, watch band idea good but the brand I bought sucked and with my small wrists, the plate stuck out too far and made it weird to wear with a running motion arm swing & shirts.

Mine has Name, Wife's Phone, Mom's Phone.  Medical info. And: "If reading: Pause Garmin, pls"

The only useful blood-type to have on your band is O Neg, if you are O Neg.  They will type everyone, but in an emergency they will give you O Neg, thinking that's your type lessens the urgency to get a correct type.

I used to have a RoadID on the shoe, but I cycled through 4 shoes over the summer.  So, instead I got one for my watch: http://www.1bandid.com/

                                Now I always have it.

AGREE....blood type is simply a waste of space....if you need blood that bad, you will be given O Neg and the hospital will type and screen you in the mean time.....trust me, they aren't going to rely on your RoadID, nor would you want them too....blood typing just isn't that simple.
