>Running 101>Finally Back into running. (long road back)
I took a year off and have finally gotten back into running.
In that year I havent run a single mile.
I have gone from 160lbs to 195lbs. (I was way below weight at 160)
I was also running very seriously a year ago.
I was down to a 1:18 half marathon and a 17:04 5k.
My 2 mile as at about 10:30.
I was avering around 50 miles per week.
I for some reason just stopped 1 day after about 2 years of serious year round training.
I just ran 2 miles today at 8:00 pace and it was not too bad. Not too hard to do.
Its a long road to the top and I hope to make it back. Im going to take it easy for the first few weeks to get back into it and see where it goes.
Ill document my journey along the way if anybody is interested in reading..
I so far have done 2 runs so far...
run 1 was 2 miles at 8:30 pace
run 2 was 3 miles at 8:00 pace.
It feels great to be back .. A long journey ahead but it feels great!!!!
Good luck, Seth. One step at a time, one run at a time. You'll be there before you know it.
Keep us posted on your progress back.
