Revenge of the Nerd
I listen to all kinds of music when running, depending on mood and type of run. I prefer instrumental music for harder workouts so I don't catch myself singing along. Here are 10 faves:
Surfing With The Alien - Joe Satriani ( I still remember being blown away when I first heard this one back in the late 80s)
Golden Wheels - Gamalon (named in honor of the old Buffalo Bills wide receiver Elbert Dubenion)
Mach 1 - Ronnie Montrose
Flight Of The Osprey - Steve Morse
Machine - Andy James
Ghost Runner - Derek Sherinian
Free - Vinnie Moore
Cliffs Of Dover - Eric Johnson
Astro Cortex - Ozric Tentacles
Outa-Space - Billy Preston
For some heroic, soundtrack-style music (aka trailer music) check out Epic Score. Guaranteed to get you moving.
One of these days is none of these days.

Doc, my tooth hurts
I really only listen to music to get me through, at most, the last half of a quality run(tempo long run). Sometimes I will listen to it if I'm tired on a recovery day, it just seems to hurt a little less. I find that a lot music that I love doesn't really get me going on a run, hence why this is exclusively metal.
Nocturnal-Black Dahlia Murder
Black Tongue-Mastodon
The Wretched Spawn- Cannibal Corpse
Bludgeoned to Death- Suicide Silence
Make them Suffer-Cannibal Corpse
