Does that thing have steel teeth? What is this, Alien? Also, wtf is that? A female walrus? Some sort of pinniped, obviously, but beyond that, I got nothing.

Ojo, is Waldo hearing or deaf? Normally it's the blue eyed ones that are deaf, and odd-eyed are deaf on the blue side, but Darwin is hazel eyed and deaf. He just HAD to go and break the mold. Occasionally a vet tech will think he hears a little, and he MIGHT, but I honestly don't think so. He plays with the vacuum nozzle and slept through a fire alarm (neighbor burned a chicken... there was no saving it, poor soul )
If Darwin hears, it's so little that he's still deaf for all intent and purposes. What's weird, is that he understands something about sound, because he knows that rattling the handles on my dresser, leaning against the box fan so it rattles, and strumming the miniblinds all get my attention. It could be he associates things which cause vibration = Mom reacting, but still, that's pretty slick reasoning for a deaf cat.
