>Gears and Wears>Repairing corrupt Garmin file?
Mother of Cats
My .fit file from this morning's workout is apparently corrupt, and will not load onto Garmin Connect, Strava, Runalyze, or RunningAhead.*** Looks fine on the device, so I can always just type it in manually, but I like seeing the pretty graphs and stuff.
Does anyone have a favorite tool for repairing a corrupt .fit file? I've already tried http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ with no luck. The file itself is here.
***for those who care the error messages were:
We don't support the file type you tried to import.
The upload appears to be malformed and we are unable to process it.
There was a problem uploading the file.
This file cannot be imported. Possible reasons are:
Everyone's gotta running blog; I'm the only one with a POOL-RUNNING blog.
And...if you want a running Instagram where all the pictures are of cats, I've got you covered.
So..crisis is averted. I plugged my Garmin in again a second time an hour later, and the file uploaded fine.
Very strange, as when it wouldn't upload the first time, I copied it onto my hard drive and then started playing with it. So..clearly the file was fine on the device (files don't heal themselves), but was getting corrupted during transfer, whether to Garmin, Strava, or my hard drive.
Weird - best explanation I can come up with is that I need a new charging cable.

Lol. Looks like I should have been just a touch quicker on my upload!
