Annoyance using the map (Read 49 times)

There is one thing that bugs me about the map. Whenever I zoom in so that the view changes from overhead to 45 deg, the map shows a lot of in-between images that slows everything down. It does the same thing when rotating the 45 deg view and zooming out to overhead view again.

Can't this be eliminated? I see no reason why there should be transitions between one view and another, and I only find it annoying and a waste of time as it is an unnecessary delay. Googles own map doesn't do this.
