The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff

Running on the ocean
The real conundrum of a free site is that I could pay $10 a month and not get the good running log that I get here for free. I also find it amazing that Active charges a service fee for registering you for the race when they provide no service to you, after all they don't mail you your bid and race number. Is it really worth that exta $5 or $10 to sign up on line rather than drop a check in the mail?
You know when you're running a ultra marathon because the pain actually starts to hurt -- Jakob Herrmann my running achievements
