The front page hasn't been updated for some reason and reflects the position from a couple of weeks ago.  Their facebook page and Covid update page on the website have been updated more recently.  Believe me - I kept an eye on this on the off chance I needed to order a treadmill.

It does for me!  I have a feeling there is some failure to invalidate cache going on.

Piwi - 190lbs of muscle, that sounds like me

Nice job with the 1000s, those are hard!

Keen - Thanks for the excellent feedback! I’m just happy to be of help. I’ve made most of your recommended adjustments.

I’m not going yet with the persistent login as it’d require to keep the authorisation tokens going for a long time and that is a can of worms in terms of security Smile

Here's how the table is after the changes. Yall let me know if there's any other adjustments I can make to it.

Flavio - good week.  And yes, storing long term session has a whole lot of security concerns, I wouldn't build that for free!

My week was 7 runs!  Well run of 5 minutes and walk of 1 - 2 sets on rehab days, and 4 sets on my 'running' days.  Except the Monday which was 3 minutes of running (before my online physio allowed me to increase).  So I managed 99 minutes of running, this would have been roughly 20-21 km of running.  Hamstring and achilles is getting better.  If Christchurch 31 had been on, I suspect my aim right now would have been to have just run it in the 1:45-1:50 range.

Looks like New Zealand infection rate picking up. Still think you guys will generally be okay, but it's not going to be 100% smooth sailing.

DWave - Solid week, and looks like you're getting some solid use out of the treadmill. Have you been able to calibrate your Stryd, or no?

Belated response, but no....I never calibrated it.  It doesn't seem to be spitting out paces very much different from what I would expect now, so maybe it's closer to right than I thought?  6:30 pace according to Stryd feels fairly challenging on the treadmill, but that might be more my personal fitness than the Stryd.

I did more hill repeats today on the mill with the Stryd.  Looked at the report after, and confirmed that Stryd doesn't measure elevation change on treadmills - it shows no change in power with changes in incline on the treadmill if the pace remains constant (according to what I've read, this is because it gets elevation from either GPS or barometric pressure).  Good thing I don't train by power, I guess.

Everyone's gotta running blog; I'm the only one with a POOL-RUNNING blog.

And...if you want a running Instagram where all the pictures are of cats, I've got you covered.

It doesn't detect elevation change on treadmills (yet) because it uses the onboard barometric altimeter for that. I do know it's in development, though. If you use the Stryd app to record the run it has an option to set incline percentage, which will show and record the corresponding increase in power for whatever pace/incline you're at - it just won't reflect on the watch, though. I'd use that myself, but I can't pair my HRM to it (yet).

Yeah it seems like the lockdown was early enough and is working.  The growth has been linear rather than exponential and has flattened off noticeably the last few days despite significant increases in the number of tests.

Piwi - I forgot to say (and I only remembered because I just cracked open a new pair): I run in Takumi Sens! This is something DW and I share, a love for those shoes. I really like them for short, fast efforts, like 200/400 repeats. They're super firm, but that's exaclty what I want when running mile pace or faster. I know some people run the marathon in them but that seems bananas to me.
