A 7 out of 10 pain for a New Yorker is the equivalent of a 2 out of 10 pain for a Brit or Kiwi.
too true. They play a form of rugby with helmets on lol

That’s okay, we’ll exchange that for the fact that your 7 out of 10 women are a 2 out of 10 for a New Yorker.

I still can’t believe someone as competitive as you put on that much weight. It sort of scare me!
Flavio - Really liked the video. One day we will realize this board is full of complaining.
“It’s now 65 degrees here in New Zealand, people are dying of heat exhaustion”
“My foot is a little sore, better go get 3 MRIs”
“I have the sniffles. I’m going to tell you about it for the next 3 weeks”
“I know about taper tantrums, but I still believe this slight odd feeling in my hamstring MUST be a pull”
“There’s no way I’m going to PR tomorrow because the wind isn’t exactly 0 mph”
“Johnny McGee is coming to the race tomorrow, he’s going to really ruin my day”
“The store ran out of my favorite blue shorts. I’ve called my psychologist to set up an appointment to get over this major setback”
“I put on 2 pounds this past week. Please shower me with your condolences”
”My tummy gets a little sore when I have beer. I will now stop eating all types of food and plan on getting my sustenance from the sun”
”I’m old. Have I told you what it’s like to be old? Let me tell you how hard it is to get out of bed, so you can all repeatedly tell me what a champion I am”
I don't mean to pull rank but:
by the way I'm impressed I recovered so quickly from that bug, it must've been a New Yorker bug

I hardly ever go to PT or the Doctor.
Also our women don't put plastic in their boobs and botox in their faces and wear ridiculous amounts of makeup and get their hair done every week.
They are natural. This is why NZ men find sheep attractive
If you can't complain to strangers on the internet then what is even the point of the thing (other than amusing gifs).

In other news, Air NZ this morning announced that they're launching an AKL-NYC direct service in October 2020. They're canning an existing long-running service from LAX-LHR to free up aircraft capacity (sorry that's LA to London for those who aren't into aviation geek speak).
I used to work at Air NZ and it's not a big surprise, the LAX-LHR leg was always tough going with a lot of competition from US and European carriers. NYC has been viewed as a target for a while and the newer 787's make it much more viable.
Makes the NYC Marathon next year a bit tempting! Also maybe JMac can come down here and see what some real tough weather conditions are like.

I used to work at LHR for Air New Zealand - sad for the good people working there, but direct to NYC is appealing...I think JMac's comment on the women is accurate on the strength of numbers but certainly not in a ratio sense. Are we going down a dangerous track here?
Mark, I don't know if JMac would ever attempt a race in Auckland - he'd get eaten alive.

No kidding? When was that? That AKL-LAX-LHR service was such a long-running one (and carried the NZ1/NZ2 flight numbers!) that they must've had to swallow a bit of pride to can the LAX-LHR leg. I worked with the UK sales team a little bit and I guess they'll all be out of jobs which is sad too.
Air NZ probably figured it was only a matter of time before someone launched an AKL-NYC service (or SYD-NYC) and it's always a lot easier to get the service up to scale when you're the first mover.
