Sub 1:30 Half Marathon in 2019 (Read 641 times)

Hi everyone, I'm not disappeared and I have not left the forum, but life is complicated and with all my travelling I find it difficult to do almost anything... I'm getting some runs in,but not what I'd like, always a but less miles than planned....

I'm following the forum and trying to get enough inspiration to start training seriously again....I hope to find the time to write, and run, something more next year

    All the best

    Marco

      RIP Milkman

Looks like Keen came through the half in 1:30:56.

25K is now in as well with an average pace of 6:58. He’s going to have to run a big negative split here to get under 3. Hopefully he isn’t sick, he’s been battling that (and avoiding others) for the past 2 weeks.

        5K: 16:37 (11/20)  |  10K: 34:49 (10/19)  |  HM: 1:14:57 (5/22)  |  FM: 2:36:31 (12/19)

I think he was feeling good after sickness. I’m HOPING air isn’t weather. There is another hill after the lake so I’m kind of expecting a big negative split from him. It HAS ago be mental right now.

weather channel says 62F and 54 dew point.

Many of us aren't sure what the hell point you are trying to make and no matter how we guess, it always seems to be something else. Which usually means a person is doing it on purpose.

          RIP Milkman

Yeah it looks like he’s fallen off here, last 5K at 7:50 pace. It might be the weather, even 53 and humid was making me sweat a ton after the winter running we’ve been doing, he’s looking at 63 and partly cloudy. It’s too bad, he had a hell of a cycle.

So Keen might be seeing Jesus mounted on a pink unicorn by now. He was suposed to pass 24.5 miles 9 minutes ago.

This is weird. Keen uses to long run marathons and is the king of high mileage. Either he's injured or his bib is compromised.

My guess. Hopefully nothing major. I’m thinking heat stroke or sever stomach issues. No way it was legs. He knows we’re watching and wondering. Probably check in tonight on his ride home.

His bib is moving again.  Looks like he's refusing to take a DNF - if he's sick or injured, very gutsy effort to make sure he finishes.
