Pretty pics from your run (Read 1288 times)

I live in the Finger Lakes region of Western New York. Since the start of fall I've been taking a camera on my runs. Here is a selection of the best ones:

This dirt road is part of a half marathon course I usually run each year, although this year I just did a "solo" 5K.

I often just enjoy looking at the clouds during my runs

Crossing a bridge I took this view of the Genesee River

The fading light of a late afternoon run

The barn casts a long shadow on the snow

You have wonderful photos and views. It seems to me only because you run in such beautiful places you produce even more endorphins.

    I even envy a little

Thanks Robin for the compliment, but I may have taken over a hundred pictures this fall and those four photos were just selections of some of the better ones. Many photos from other posters were taken in more interesting areas with mountains or seashore. I will say that the scenic views are a motivation for me to get out on a run and give me something to focus on besides the stress of running. If I feel tired and want to slow down I may look at the pretty sky instead! As far as increasing endorphins goes, I don't know if a nice view does that or not.

Long distance runner, what you standin' there for?
Get up, get out, get out of the door!

        One day at a time

Good winter for running in Maine.  Not much snow and warmer than usual.

Drier and warmer than usual for Northern California too.  But should be rain tomorrow.
