Rhode Runner


    M - 0 / Feeling run down Dead T - 5.99M / 6:55 pace (Ran easy along Mystic River) W - 5.1M -/ 7:11 pace (Feeling a little better) R - 7M / 6:45 pace (Legs & breathing much improved) F - 6M / Treadmill Intervals w/ 2M warm-up and 1M cool down - 1M, 2x800, 4x400 (1M = 5:27) (.5M = 2:39) (.5M = 2:39) (.25M = 1:15) (.25M = 1:15) (.25M = 1:15) (.25M = 1:12) Sa - 7.2M / 7:21 pace (Lots of snow/slush and ice - Ran easy) Su - 9.8M / 7:19 pace (Still lots of ice - Ran w/ friends) Total for week: 41.1M Wanted to get 2 quality runs in, but felt sick early in the week. Snow made for tough to run higher miles late in the week.


    Feeling the growl again

      M - 4 miles ez 6:58 on tm T - 8 miles ez 6:53 on tm W - 9 miles including 8X (3min ON/ 2min OFF) on tm -- 5:00 pace ON, 10:00 pace OFF. R - AM, 6 miles ez 6:58 on tm. PM, 8 miles ez 6:40 on tm F - 8 miles ez 6:58 avg Sa - 5 mile race 26:56.0, place bad (18th) but destroyed 27:30 goal. Got much faster toward end. Su - 16 miles easy/moderate 6:24 pace. Felt good so rocked it out. TOtal for week - 68 miles Felt good to race again. Not really fast yet but it was a good result for relatively low training mileage.
