I used to use fabric softener until my mom happily showed me how it stripped the wallpaper & glue off her kitchen walls by just sponging the liquid stuff on there. Yikes, we put that stuff on our clothes that contacts our skin nearly 24/7?!

      So I stopped using it.

Your tech stuff will be fine after a few washes.

      Drink up moho's!!

I have been washing my running gear in hot water with regualr detergent and tossing them into the dryer with a fabric sheet since 2006.  All is well and no issues with damaging their ability to wick moisture.

I air dry my tech clothing.  A previous poster mentioned washing the clothes again to 'restore' the moisture wicking properties?  How does this work?  One washing removes it, yet a additional washing, restores?  Huuuuhhhhh ???? Who knew?

The only true way that I'd ever been able to tell is from the time proven 'wear test'.  Wear them and see what happens, then re-eval according to test results.

Nice tip on the dryer sheets.  I've never heard of this.

Yeah, well spit dissolves a lot of stuff too.  I'll keep this in mind, though, next time I'm taking off wallpaper.
