Ant, I like the photos you choose and enjoy your 'easy-going' writing style. It makes for an enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing through the blog.
Oh, and as one of the nearing-50-year-old people in the world, I agree with an important point from your second post.

Hi Mike, thanks very much for your kind words.I'm delighted you like the blog and it will inspire me to greater things (can you imagine??) knowing there are people out there actually reading the thing!!
Once again, thanks ever so much for taking the trouble to write. Happy running!!
All the best, Ant
The latest rip-roaring, hilarious instalment of my blog is out there, just for you. http://roadtobrightonpier.blogspot.com.es/2015/11/planet-of-sound.html
Nice blog entry, Ant.
Part of why I enjoy running is what you noticed after not wearing headphones after so long. The experience of being outside, just running along is, to me, what it's all about. There's the sun and trees going by, the sound of the river, geese, and the nearby airfield. I know you've found solace with the mp3 player; but, your mentioning environmental sounds reminded me what I enjoy about running.
Be well.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for reading again and for your comment.
I totally agree with you, and too often we get bogged down with technology and over-complicate things. The trouble is I don't get out of the city enough and as I ramp up the miles a lot of the runs I do aren't all that enjoyable. But I do intend to make a conscious effort to run "naked" a bit more and seek out those positive, natural sensations. Starting tomorrow!
All the best,
Ant
Don't miss the latest, nail-biting instalment of my blog. (Warning: includes veiled references to poo.)

Nice entry, Ant.
> I had done a total of 9.98 miles. This was obviously unacceptable so I ran round the drinking fountain a few times to get over the 10-mile mark.
Yes, that is normal. At least for me it is. I'll do laps around the parking lot at my complex if I have to get those last few tenths.
Good luck at the Cross Popular Villa de Gijón this coming weekend!
Speed, poo, bleeding nipples, and much, much more this week!

It's a new year, so it's time to get serious. Can I just finish off the beer, first, though? http://roadtobrightonpier.blogspot.com.es/2016/01/start.html
