Tie-less shoelaces (Read 93 times)

Has anyone tried them and is there a brand you like?  My mom can't tie shoes anymore since her stroke but finds running shoes the best for her stability.

I switched to the Salomon Speedcross 3 on trails for increased traction but have come to enjoy the tie-less system. The "Single-pull Quicklace system with lace pocket". Looks like Amazon has some good colors to choose from so your Mom can stand-out or blend-in, depending on her preference. Good luck finding the right shoes & her recovery.

there are a number of laceless systems you can buy and replace the laces with, though.  I think the plastic pulls on the quicklaces might be hard to deal with, and wonder if these might be easier?  https://www.hickies.com/  Or these: https://laceez.com/

THIS^^^^. I don't use the Salomon speedcross personally, a friend of mine does and loves them, and the pull on the lace. But, you do need 2 hands to do this. Be careful with sizing from Amazon, my friend has the Speedcross 3's from REI, bought the EXACT color and size from Amazon, and they were too small, could have been a fluke, who knows. Good luck.

Huh...I wish I'd known about these in time to try them tomorrow for a duathlon.  I used some other elastic laces system in my kid's shoes, years ago, but wasn't impressed enough with them to try them in any of my shoes.  I'd love anything to cut time dealing with shoelaces when I'm shaking and short on O2 in transition.

Oh she would never buy $70 shoes, she is too budget conscious for that, it will have to be a lacing system she can put on existing shoes.

I have these in one of my pairs of running shoes. They are elastic and no-tie. One you put them in and adjust them for comfort, you are done - just slip your shoes on and off. Easy! Advertised for athetes and seniors :-) Sold on Amazon an different tri-sports websites.

The hickies look neat. I think I'll try them next. I like elastic laces in my running shoes for comfort and so I don't have to mess with getting the tightness right every time I put them on.

I have used Yangz in the past and they worked well for me.

Love them for duathlons, and have them on all my running shoes.

Have purchased @ Dicks Sporting Goods and off of Amazon.

I heard earlier this year about Nike coming out with no lace shoes.   They look very cool since they automatically tighten around your feet, which means they do use electricity.   They'll probably cost plenty at first too.   I don't think they're on the market yet.
