Stupid composite fillings! (Read 386 times)

A few years back I had all my old silver fillings removed (they had new cavities forming under the fillings...my teeth suck) and replaced with composites. The procedure was seriously painful...they had to drill all the old ones (I think at least 4), then replace them. Now one of the composites is cracked and I have another damned cavity. Ins. won't pay for sealants in adults, which I need. But they will pay for fillings, so I just have to wait until I develop cavities, instead of helping to prevent them with the sealants...grrr... I got rid of my dental insurance; it wasn't worth it. Since I don't have insurance anyway, I'd just pay for it. Thankfully, though, I haven't had a lot of problems with my teeth once I got over the damage that the braces had done to them when I was a kid.

I should find out what sealants would cost, though my guess is they aren't cheap. The office visit, alone, is likely to be at least $50. k
