    Confused I have luch around 1 oclock and run practice at 3 oclock. wat should i eat for lunch Confused

      I always like something carb heavy, but not too sugary before I run. Think cereal, bread, pasta food group. Anything else that close to a run tends to bother my stomach.

      "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.'  Well, for years I was smart.  I recommend pleasant."

        Everyone reacts differently to what they eat/drink before a run. With two hours before a heavy workout I'll eat something like oatmeal and a banana, or a turkey and cheese sandwich, or even a tuna sandwich. Then right before if it's a long run, I'll eat a yogurt cereal bar. My stomach is getting better at dealing with eating closer to runs, and more and more I find myself not watching the clock as much.
