Just wondering about the Suunto M5 watch. Anyone use one for running?
I've never heard of the brand before until today so I'm just curious.

Hi
I switched to Suunto late last year - but unfortunately it means I can't use Running Ahead anymore.
The logs aren't stored on your local PC like a Garmin - you are pretty much locked into the Suunto web site.
The M5 is not very good for running, it is designed for heart rate work outs first, running is an after-thought in terms of functionality.
The Quest is designed for runners (gps as an add-on pod) & the new Ambit for ultra runners/trail runners, but if you are looking for a straight forward running watch with gps I would stick with Garmin.
Cheers
