Garmin Forerunner 220 vs 620 (Read 171 times)

My Forerunner 305 is getting old and I want something new. I am a serious local elite runner and like to see a lot of info.

    Goal: sub 2:40 marathon

JIC you were not aware of DCRainmaker who reviews there pretty exhaustively

Almost all info you might need -

If you are looking for long term user experience, I have neither, have 210 and it does the job, more than 3 years since I bought it.

I just got the 220 and love it.  It tracks everything!

I used one of touch screen garmin watches and hated it. I previously owned the 220 and loved it, but needed to switch away from chest strap HRM and got the 225. I know you didn't ask, but I would recommend looking into the 225. But the 220 was a great watch, too. If you want "a lot of info" on one screen, then the 220/225 probably isn't for you, as you can only have three data points per screen, and only two screens can be customized. This took a bit for me to adjust (also coming from 305), but I'm fine with it now as I generally only need to track three elements on any given run (during the run).

Note that they've released updates to both of these watches today. I plan on returning my pretty new 225 for the 235.

can it make me go faster?

Wait for the Forerunner 235 in a month, looks like the best one ever.
