ING Georgia Marathon? (Read 449 times)

Cause I CAN

I am considering doing another marathon sometime in the future and this is the one I've been thinking about. What are your thoughts on how it is? I know it goes by Emory which is where I had my transplant, I think mentally running like hell by that place would rock.

            Life is Good

I know it goes by Emory which is where I had my transplant, I think mentally running like hell by that place would rock. I have not run a Marathon yet..although I did train for the Atlanta Marathon once (got pneumonia and couldn't run) I have several friends that are wanting to run this one..they said last years was a lot of fun but not a lot of watering stations on the course..the medal is pretty nice isn't it? makes me want to sign up myself but I don't think I'm there yet in my training..good luck with what ever you choose too do!

I'm running it this year. There is an RRCA Coaching Clinic in Atlanta that week that I am going to be taking, so it will get my Georgia marathon out of the way. Which is also nice since I didn't want to travel during Thanksgiving to run down there. There's an ING Georgia user group here, if you want to join: http://runningahead.com/groups/AtlIng

                Cause I CAN

The only bad thing about it is, it'll mean i'll have to do my final 20 mile long runs in the winter...i've run in the winter but not nearly that far...brrrrrr
