Who's fighting the dang Pace Bunny in 2013? (Read 347 times)

an amazing likeness

Thumped the 2013 mile pace bunny today...took a run in 15" or fresh snow, 19F with 30mph north wind...but got 'er done.

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

The Pace Bunny has never beaten me - am on-track to crack another 2K miles the last week of the year.

Run Bunny Run with feet that are free

Run Bunny Run you can't beat me

Run Bunny Run all in the wood

Run Bunny Run.....get me a cold f'ing beer!!!

      One day at a time

I never even started chasing the bunny in 2013, but I am in training to catch him in 2014.  1000 miles is the plan.

I just put the Pace Bunny to bed for the year as I just made my 1,000 mile mark for the year.  This has been my best year by far.  I have a couple of weeks to decide what to do for 2014?

          Feeling the growl again

Well, my pace bunny was 3650 miles.  I got the most debilitating injury of my running career in February.  So it's never been close.

I will comfortably hit 2000 in about a week.  There's always next year.

I cheated and only added the pace bunny a couple of weeks ago when the 1500k "goal" was very easily within reach.

There, now I set myself up for breaking my leg before I get there.

So, we have 20.5 days to go.

                Who's fighting the Pace Bunny?

Who's still worried about hitting their goals?

I set out 3 pace bunny goals in 2013.

I've hit 1 of them (running).

I've given up on 1 of them. (biking)

I'm fighting 1 of them.  (swimming)  I think it'll be New Year's Eve when I finish Pace Bunny goal #2.

                Others?

Beat bunny #2 (swim) this afternoon.  I set the bunny's December 31 last year and didn't modify.

I pretty much took the entire month of December off.  Not overly motivated right now, and need to set my 2014 goals (total volume as well as races) and start preparing to do what I can do.

                2013 was a great year!

                Cheers,

Okay, I give, what the heck is a "Pace Bunny"?

After reading the various posts here, it seems to be some way of setting a goal for a year, and had I set one, initially it would have been for 1,200 miles, however, that would have been in doubt through the first six months of the year as I only managed 329 miles.  In July I topped 200 miles in one month and started wondering if I could somehow beat my best year ever (700 miles back in 1979) by a cool 1,000 miles; I hit 1,704 today.  Smile

Just passed my 1367mi (26.2/wk) running pace bunny

Beat my bike bunny a while ago

Never set up a swim one, but that'll be a goal for next year.

                    Good Job Everyone!

                      Time's up.
You did not reach your goal.

You are 36.5 mi behind the pace bunny.

In other news, we're having rabbit for dinner today, to celebrate the new year!

                      Consistently Slow

I have bunny footprints all over my back. Ouch!

Run until the trail runs out.

                          Mmmmm...beer

The bunny beat me this time, but it won't happen again this year!  I got lazy after my 50k, but then still had a chance to catch up the last few days, until I got hit with a stomach bug. Sad
