Weatherboy 1/2 marathon - 15k 54:55 - 5:57 pace. On pace for a 1:18. If he can finish strong 1:17x is in play.
Weatherboy finished really strong 1:17:15! 5:54 pace. Great PR!
Awesome job Weather! Thanks for tracking MT.

Thanks guys. That was another tough race! Think it must have been close to 70 during the 2nd part of the race, but the humidity felt rough especially with how cool the past few days have been. That was cruel!
Started out on pace for the first 5k, but faded quite a bit mid race, but was happy the way I picked it up to finish. Deliberately slowed down through a few water stops to make sure I got fluids in after 9-10 miles as I was feeling rough. Tried for sub 1:17 but I’ll take the PR. Need to find something much cooler next time!!

Well done weatherboy. Those are not ideal running conditions!

Great job Weatherboy humidity sucks literally. A better conditions day next time and you can go even faster.

Somewhere in between is about right "
Weatherboy: You just can't catch a break with the heat/humidity on race days! A 77 in those conditions is great and in cool temps you would be in the 75 range I think. I wish you could have had some of the conditions we had here this morning; upper 30s, sunny and beautiful.
Looks like TN ran a 2:47 at St. Jude; a great comeback race for him. Flash had some problems and had to DNF.
Good luck to the CIM crew tomorrow!
RIP Milkman
Weather - I’m pretty sure your handle at this point is just a jinx. We need to get you run more in upstate NY to get cooler weather. Great effort and your cycle this fall was insane. It will pay dividends at some point!
Good luck to the CIM crew!
What were Flash’s issues that he DNF’d.
Mt - thanks for tracking.

weatherboy- great job. I don't know how you run PRs in those conditions. I wouldn't even race Bravo.
Conditions seem pretty nice for CIM, meanwhile. We'll see how that plays out.

Upcoming; 14th Sep Scottish veterans XC trials, 289th Sep Great Scottish Run 1/2, 12th October TAMA half marathon, 27th October Leeds Abbey dash 10k
Thanks guys! Conditions weren’t ideal by any means but they were manageable especially for what I typically train in. Thinking I just started out a bit too fast!
Good luck to those at CiM!
just checked the CIM website and Cal is bang on 3hr pace at 35k having hit the half in 1:29:58
come on!
looks to be slowing up but not much - 2:51 with 2k to race
