    Awesome and motivating...great job everybody!
I just saw this thread today, so I'll post my big victory for yesterday:

My longest run yet: 8 miles! It has taken me so, so long to get there - I did a seven miler last summer, but mentally kept myself from going for 8 - until yesterday. I am sooo happy!

Now resume your posting about double digit long runs, and sub 20:00 5 K's. I'll get there someday....

Well, maybe not the sub 20:00 5k....

Well, maybe not the sub 20:00 5k....

You are not alone...neither will I.    I'm happy to break 30:00.

And ^5 on the longest run to date.  I know you'll be hitting the double digits this summer!

          ...---...

got in my longest training run ever (21 miles) yesterday and still able to mow he jungle lawn this morning. I considered it cross training  - Thank goodness for patient understanding spouses and a strong lawnmower engine.

            San Francisco - 7/29/12

Warrior Dash Ohio II - 8/26/12

            Chicago - 10/7/12

this is a great thread,  should be weekly, maybe every Monday after weekend races/runs.  what does everyone think??

On my training log --- for the first time EVER -- every visible week (except the new current week - of course) has 40 or more miles per week........

Always before, there would be a week with less than 40 Mile -- but NO MORE.....

Champions are made when no one is watching

                  Great weekend!

                    Saturday - 12 miles run

                    Sunday - 5 miles run

First weekend where I've ever run that much. Weather was fantastic and it was great!

Friday - 3rd overall female in a ~5K, my first overall prize ever!  And we got cool hand-poured iron medals!   Downside: the police set the turnaround cone out in the wrong spot and it was only 2.9 miles, so I can't really call it a new PR.

Sunday - Longest training run ever, 29 miles, at my local state park.  And I ran all but maybe 10 minutes of it Smile

John, that's my goal as well.  And I would have it right now if it weren't for that one pesky 30-mile week back in July.  Oh well.  I'll get it after next week.  Smile

My small victory for the day: I hit all my goal times in my interval workout tonight.
