Goodbye all!!! (Read 341 times)

Kill

I'm off to finish catching the 1000 mile bunny and at least make an attempt at catching the 1500 mile bunny. Good luck to all who have not caught the miserable little rodent yet! Okay, bunny. I've solidly beaten you and have almost caught your older brother. Just wanted to remind you what will happen if you cross my path again [glances at shoe, then at rabbit]. Mmmhmmm.

Passion is a rather frightening thing because if you have passion you don't know where it will take you.

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

well done bonkin - good luck with your pursuit of further bunnies. this one is still ahead of me but its only a matter of time.....
Well done Bonkin - Good luck!
nice work Mike! can I say thanks for leaving without sounding like a jerk? ( I finally made it to the first page!!) I kinda like the idea of leaving once you finish the 1000 km/decide to chase another bunny instead, it gives everyone a chance to see themselves approach the bunny.

Thanks, everyone! And no, Shaunna, you don't sound like a jerk at all. I think everyone that already has or is close to beating the bunny at this point of the year should consider moving to a longer distance group. That was the main motivator for me to leave so others would have a better chance at the top.

The next bunny up would be a step too far for me this year. I'll probably catch this one by the year end but to get the 1000mile bunny I'd have to be logging 60-70% more miles than I am now. Thats the problem of starting later in the yearSad Next year I'll chase the 1000mile bunny - but hopefully I won't be giving any head starts this time!

I think this is a great idea. Once you finish the 1000Km, we could make a sticky thread of all of the finishers and you could leave the group. That way everyone knows that you made it, but still gets a chance to see themselves at the top. Mandy, I'm with you next year! Hopefully without loosing 3 months to injury (fingers crossed) I won't let that 1000 mile bunny get away! As a side note, on 4 of my last 7 runs I have seen bunnies! Does that mean I'm getting close to the PB? Wink
I started a list of all finishers and their finish date on the home page. Hope that is OK with everyone!
                    Great idea Shaunna.

                    Come Run With Us!

It's my turn to say farewell to little hare, take my 758 miles and go chase another cottontail (the 1000 miles). It was a lot of fun being here though, that's for sure!!! Big grin Goodbye everybody....Oh, what the heck! I'll see you all in the 1000 mile group!
