Is anyone's mileage suffering because of the weather? (Read 445 times)

I posted something in the Gears and Wears section, but then remembered that this string was going in my favorite group, so I'll mention it again. Ladies, you may want to look away.
My distance hasn't suffered, but this morning I ran in slightly sub-freezing weather. To cope, I ran for the first time ever with running pants. Bought them just last night. They were comfortable to run in, which was a big concern, and they kept my legs warm enough but not too warm. But they did nothing for my privates. Three miles into an 8+ mile run, I was very uncomfortable. By four miles, considerable pain, and close to the end I was worried (probably irrationally) about frostbite. After the run, the pain persisted for almost two hours. I wasn't sure I wanted to share, but after the snot rocket string on another section of the board, I figured nothing is off limits.
