Last 10K of the year (Read 387 times)

A Saucy Wench

48:07, 5 seconds off PR. Really not bad considering where I am in my training cycle. Interesting course in that the first 4 miles were paved and smooth and the last 2 were twisty, hilly Xcountry - some singletrack trail, some field - hard to say all covered in leaves. (Hence the name of the race - autumn leaves). I went out at what I thought would be a good pace and realized that I wasn't really in 10K form. Mind did wander a little today. My overall feeling is I COULD have run faster, but not a lot faster. I had more of a kick at the end than I thought I should.
