Hi there! (Read 535 times)

Hello all, I hope you don't mind me jumping in and introducing myself. I am a newbie runner. Did my first (and only) 5k last Thanksgiving. I've signed up for my first 10k this June. I have a couple of 5ks before that. I've run 10k a few times in my training runs. Not looking for any gold medals or anything, just hoping to have a good time. And <gulp> continue increasing my distance for the Half I signed up for next fall. Thanks!</gulp>

It's scary how addictive it is! I went from NO exercise. Seriously, I got tired going to the end of my driveway! Then I did the Couch to 5K. Ran a 5K race, and thought I could do 10K. Ran 6 miles on a long run and actually started to think I could do a half. Sheesh. Next thing you know, I'll be thinking I could do a marathon. Smile It's so addictive, I've actually done nothing but blather on about running at work. I got another woman there to start and finish the C25K program. And now my office-mate has started as well. I am loving it and can't wait to run my first official 10K in June! Oh, and I LOVE your avatar!!!
