July Mileage! (Read 407 times)

    Great job everyone!
I finished at 123.5. I was hoping for about 30-35 more than that as every thing was going great unitl I broke my pinky toe with a little over a week left in the month. That has put a big dent in my Richmond training the last 2 1/2 weeks.

      Go Pre!

When´s your next marathon and how´s the training going?
Next Marathon is Columbus (with Tuff/Dave and his clan) Training is going --- well, good days and rough days, weather is beating me up as is travelling but the next couple of months look better. July Results Mileage - 155 miles ( little knee troubles! ) 10K race - 46:31 ( the day after hills! ) Only race for August is a 5K I will be escorting our 7 yr old on - he is gunning to break 30 mins and beat his PR of 31:00 For me, I am trying to be disciplined enough to properly pace my long runs in thirds. sub race pace for first third, race pace for the middle third and finish slightly above race pace. I always tend to start too fast so this is a real challenge for me. way to go to all and good luck for rest of August! Dave

        Burninated Peasant

A disappointing 120.2 miles. Some knee issues, but nothing serious. Getting back at 'er for Aug. Congratulations on the baby. Boy or girl? Name?
Thanks everybody on the congrats. The name is Abigail Ruth, and she's healthy. With healthy lungs. That she uses frequently. Causing me to be too tired to post here very often. Smile And apparently too tired to spell, either.

Awesome, Michael. Don't worry, you'll be all caught up on your sleep in 2-3 years. Big grin

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

I'm embarrassed to post my measley 106.8 miles for July. Sad Nursing school and working full-time will do that, coupled with marathon training. Lisa
