Johnny, You are already bored to death with the following... but for the benefit of everyone else.... Not currently planning a 26.2 next year.... but might try to get a quick road time on the back of my training for the following: 17 Jan - Thames Path Ultra - 50 miles - hoping for 7hr 30.... (ambitious I think) Apr 09 - 12hr track race - hoping for 70 miles. Oct 09 - 24hr track race - hoping for 100 miles plus. Good luck to everyone.

Looks like you got a nice gap between April and October crying out for the classic distance...Maybe get the 70 out of the way then see what's out there. Good luck for 2009; it's a monster year for you.

True. It's just there aren't that many suitable marathons in England around that time. Like most places they tend to fall either in Spring or Autumn. I'm sure I'll do one at some point! btw - goal will be sub 3 hrs I think.... but don't quote me on that.

For Sure Boston April 20th Probably Portland Oregon October Maybe Monkey in November if I can figure out how to talk dh into letting me have a second cross country marathon trip in one year.

Oh man - I need a new picture Wink

I am now finally feeling recovered from Chicago (an epic meltdown) and starting to feel right with my training for Houston. I remain committed to my goal of sub 4. I fell far short at Chicago due to the heat and also having some type of illness that had me less than 100%. The next 6-8 weeks of training in this nasty midwest weather will be tougher than the marathon I think Roll eyes

Surf City Marathon Feb 1 Boston Marathon April 20 PCT 50 miler May 9 San Diego Rock n Roll May 31 That's as far out as I have planned. My real goal next year is chip away at a few 50milers.
