That sounds like quite the adventure, Jerry. There may be another group for you here.
Is there a story behind your new Avatar, Carl?

Not really; it's a romanticized wintry landscape/portrait from an old desktop theme. I'm not sure who the artist is. To me, the mood is sorta like that of Cat Stevens's song "Into White."
Hey, is that your Santa-cat?
Speed my steps along your path, according to your will.
Somewhere around 150 miles. That will finish well ahead of the bunny and put me in good shape to start a buildup for my spring marathon training.
"I aim to misbehave."

Nope, my kitty won't sit still for a picture if I dress him up.

Nice one... now all you have to do is 71 miles, that is 5km a day for 23 days
Jerry A runners blog-updated daily
Thanks!
Haha! I was JUST doing the math on that. Trying to figure out when to do my longish runs and what they'll be.
Maniac!!
Certainly not what I figured would happen when I ran my first marathon back in 2007.
I am still annoyed....if it hadn't been for the car accident at the end of March, I would have already passed 1500 miles! That accident cost me time & miles!
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can;and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful worldas it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things rightif I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with HimForever in the next.Amen.
Live the Adventure. Enjoy the Journey. Be Kind. Have Faith!
I got within 40 miles, today. Based on my schedule, I should hit the 1500 mark no later than Christmas. All of the snow up here has made for some tough running, since nothing is really plowed all that well, even a week later. Lots of running in 3-4 inches of show or in slushy, slippery stuff on the roads. At least I'm getting good workouts, though.
I thought I might hit the 1500 mark earlier than this, but a couple of illnesses and a vacation with no running options threw the schedule off.

It wasn't that bad of an accident!!!! But, thank you....This prayer is always a good reminder to appreciate what we have, no matter what.

Slushy running is hard work. That's awesome that you're going to reach your goal despite the difficult conditions!
I've slacked the past three days as part of a much needed recovery week, but will be getting back to miles tomorrow morning. Still keeping 1500 in sight.
