    Needs more cowbell!

Pretty sure I'm not going to hit 1000 on-foot, but that's OK...I'm making up for it on the saddle. Big grin

But who's going to be the first to 1000 in both running and cycling?

That's an interesting question.  There are a few people who are really running nice, even splits in the 500 mile neighborhood for both.

It has nothing to do with anything on here but here are some photo's of my 60 mile mountain bike ride on Friday, a lot of the route followed a historic dyke that was was dug around 600AD.  I managed to get the rope off the cow.

Wow, those are beautiful!  What a great place to ride.  But what is that in the first photo?  It almost looks like some sort of highway on-ramp. Confused

                It's a bridge that's takes a cycle route over a motorway

No way...that's awesome!  I'll bet that's a hoot to ride down! Big grin

OK folks. I've increased the bike miles with no objective whatsoever. (I'm still looking for one...) I've stopped caring about wanting a new bike, if it's hot, if it's raining, if the roads are crappy... but I really need new tires. I've just been to lazy to get them so far this summer. I'm even paying attention to the TDF. If they don't start racing soon my money is on Evans but I think the Alps are going to blow the race apart. Just look...

                      I'm rooting for Evan's myself.

I'm really busy at the moment as we are off to Sicily where it is 39c in the day and 25c at night.

My son in law has sorted me out with a bike and a race against his cousin?

Last weekend did a quick 116 ride through the night, I haven't had time to write it up so here is a link to someone else's.

Whats really weird is that I don't appear in a single photo are they trying to tell me something?

I thought I had a good ride today until I watched the replay of today's Tour stage and realized they went three times as far and averaged 28 mph doing it!

I really liked Evans ride today into Gap and hope he keeps it up to the end. It should be interesting to see if he can overtake Volkler by then.

Things are looking good for Cadel and I'm glad Contador has injected some interest as it was getting a bit tedious.

I've been quietly pulling for Cadel. Watching him ride that TT today was just amazing. He rode so aggressively, deserving of the win. I'm happy for him and Australia and hope he cries like a baby tomorrow in Paris.

I managed to see most days but missed the TT which was possibly best as the people I was staying with in Sicily are friends of Andy and Frank Schleck but are not interested in cycling
