3650 Miles in the Hurtlocker

    I've been hesitating to throw in a goal because it seems pretty lame compared to what the rest of you are throwing down in the last month.  Thing is, I decided in September when my legs felt like shit since April that I was going to see if they felt better with rest.  The good news is they do.  The bad news is, the main thing I've changed is mileage and I do not want to reduce mileage under 80 MPW for next year.

     

    Anyway, my A goal is 3700, B goal is 3660.

      Week 1 is in the books and yes you got two extra days.

       

      72.8 for me. I'm down 18 but considering I'm pleased. Now I'll start chipping away.

                              Ok, I'll try for 300 as a goal for the month. Cause that's easier than figuring out what I really should be doing to go faster in a marathon in March.

                               

                              days 1-9 = 82.2

                              It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

                                Kevin, Take it easy but I've got a feeling you'll be ticking off the miles in no time.

                                 

                                You were right. After a full 7 days off, seem to be "back". Yesterday - a sharp pain at mile 4 followed immediately by almost no pain since - I guess whatever was "out" must've popped back in (location of pain indicates to me probably peroneal tendon stuff) - makes me a little nervous, but I'll take it for now, and keep easing into it.
