Long dead ... But my stench lingers !
I'm gonna attempt my 1st speed workout since early November tonight - Hoping for a hamstring that holds out. I have about 5 minutes to find in the next 20 days to break 3 @ Carmel. This week M-W-F speed, Next week M-W-F speed and a little de-fatting and I will be "In-Like-Flynn"
Speed is nothing earth shattering - Moderate efforts of one of 4 workouts
4x2 mile @ 1/2 Marathon
5x1 mile @ 10 Mile
20-25 Minutes @ 10 Mile
or
5x5 minutes @ 30 minute race pace.
No hero workouts - Just get a little snap back in the legs.
If I can do 5x5 minute @ 6:18 pace and 4x2 miles @ 6:35 pace. I can pull off the sub 3.
Mandy!! How goes it?

All good Nader! Back running, getting fit, dealing with work and home stuff slowly. Currently sat in an office in Auckland looking at the harbour and wishing I could go for a run. Back in Wellington this afternoon thankfully!
How are you??

(so a little side story here -- my grandfather was an early part of US Navy aviation, and in his honor there is a road on this Navy base named for him. Since this road was on the secure side of a strategic Navy airfield, never been able to see it. This Navy airbase was closed a few years ago and is slowly being turned into civilian use. It will be pretty cool getting run around on it....)
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

After a very thorough minute or so of log-stalking this seems very doable. I wish I was doing that race. Go get it.
A list of my PRs in a misguided attempt to impress people that do not care.
Thanks!
I hope it is doable, it's one more digit knocked off the time.
I'm old. Parts of me were permanently damaged by my close encounter of the Buick-kind.
It all comes down to which body shows up on race morning -- the one that wants to run or the go-for-a-jog one.

Doing pretty well and having a great time with this stuff.
Glad to see you're back and at it!

I know you didn't hit your goal, but that is still a time you can be proud of. You are doing an amazing job.
