LOL.  Yeah, you'd have to have the open plains where you can see for miles.  If you're trying to tire it out you can't let it recover by having to track.  I seem to remember an article where they tried this with an antelope somewhere.  I forget the outcome.

I've seen deer that have been on the run for miles.  I would think it would take at least 8-10 miles of running, perhaps more, before you could possibly get close.  I've seen deer that have run 5-6 miles back and forth and while they look very tired with tongues hanging out they are still showing Usain Bolt who is boss.
