200 Crunch Challenge (Read 361 times)

Well I hinted at this yesterday as a rest day activity for the push ups and Holy Hell. Max @ 28 today. This may be harder for me than push ups.

I swear will not start pull ups.

I swear will not start pull ups.

I USED to do hundreds a day until I decided that they weren't doing any good. Once I started running it wasn't long before my 6 pack "magically" appeared. OH and I was doing crunches not sit ups.

Situps fuck up my back in a major way.  So do crunches

One of the problems I think with both the pullup and the situp challenge is if you are working only the front of your body it messes with your posture and spine. Where is the back extension challenge?

They are actually crunches. They do not advocate old fashioned sit ups.

I like six packs but my current kegger look matches my drinking habits.

The lack of me being able to do 30 shows me how weak my abs are and I know this impacts you late in a race especially the marathon.

          Feeling the growl again

Never could get into ab work, even when I tried.  I'm going to sit this one out....I find my 6-pack is entirely dependent on BF%, even when I did a crapload of crunches it made no difference.

I like to do Ab Ripper X.

Ben has the entire video memorized down to "look at Adam! He's a MADMAN!!" and "I hate it....but I LOVE IT."  so we don't even have to pop in the video to do it.

Does Ben narrate when you do it without the video?  Because that would be kind of funny.   I tried some of the P90X with the "music only" option just to shut Tony up but found the music disturbingly pornish.

Ab Ripper? Yikes. Sounds like some sort of movie/music copy program. Just for the record. I'm not looking for a 6 pack only stronger abs so I can run better. Which based on my initial test is really needed.

Yea, that's what I was saying. He narrates when we do it without the video because he has the entire thing memorized. lol

Heh. Bet he does that with movies too. Iif anyone is interested I can do a solo performance of Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail.

I fart in the general direction of crunches. I'd probably get quite a bit out of these, but it's going to have to wait methinks.

I'm so bored right now I am tempted to take the initial test just to see where I fare.  But considering I am on rest because of neck issues AND I am racing tomorrow despite not running all week , probably NOT a good idea.  If I am still banned from lifting next week I'll try this.  But I am not going to do the program.
