You guys know the drill.
Official Hurtlocker Rules of the Road/Track/Trail/Treadmill
One more mile than the month before. Perfect score = 12 but one can still play based on previous month's miles.
I'll volunteer to keep track.
Alright - there will be a prize(s).
* = adjusted reset for goal marathon training
** = physical issue getting in the way of running

First round is in. Looks like some winter injuries are taking tolls but March is official start of Spring and we've got that going for us.

I'm off to a good start but know this challenge is incongruent to peaking mileage for Boston March then running Boston well in April so I'm out.
Found out last year that I fail at pretty much every challenge I sign up for. Even with the goal widgets that we have now, probably only hit them one if four maybe, I think I lower my expectation to the challenge on had and find ways to not attain that challenge.
So why not, esp since I intend to lower my PR's across the board this year.
However let's call it something else like Hurtlocker monthly mileage challenge. Let's think of some rules until the end of this month. Like how many mulligans (if any) we get and the penalty for not making it (make up the miles next month?). Also maybe a dispensation for races, like miles raced count for double or whatever ( I need an incentive to race) etc etc.
This is where I'm at too. But in the spirit of it all, why not have a reset come May and see if the trend can't continue through the year.
Just a dude.
I'll join, as I am kinda cheating and just getting back into running. So my first few months will be pretty low...

I need to build my mileage back up anyway and if I can win a prize doing it, all the better. Sign me up!

I am out of any of this type of stunt until I get my hip figured out, although since I am running very little it would not be hard for me to do this one. Don't think that is the intended spirit tho. Have fun folks!
Not at it at all.

Kelly! Welcome back!
And...I'm in as long as I can keep the pace.

I'm going to gawk from the sidelines, since I might manage to do this precisely in reverse.

Thanks Spaniel. Glad to be back...

I'm in again. 2013 I did fine for 6 months then my mileage went to shit. I hope to keep up decent mileage through the summer and then maybe do a few races in the fall.

I'm going to give it a try. Won't be near what I used to be able to do but I'm looking to step things up a notch

I'll give it a shot too.
I'm in...perhaps I can better the 8 months from 2013.
