I had the same experience last year. Imagine the look on Mrs Finn's face when I told her that I was driving 10 hours each way to stay at an internet stranger's house so I could run a beer mile. Priceless.
Not at it at all.
It's amazing how much easier it is to turn the switch off than it is to turn it back on.
