Lagavulin, Highland Park, Ardbeg, and Laphroaig are the big four for me. There's lots of other stuff to fill in the gaps, but those are the only ones that really need to exist. I'm on bourbon tonight with Old Forester 12 y/o Birthday Bourbon. It was a gift well received.

Havent tried (or seen) Ardberg....sounds a bit like a Danish beer. I looked for it at my local liquor store last night, but they didnt have it. I have a couple of better stores up by work, will have to look for it. is the 10 reasonably good or should i pony up for the 17?

Glenlivet 15 yr French Oak
Honey and spices. Light bodied. Very nice.
Oban 14yr
Smooth with a bit of vanilla.
Glenmorangie 18yr
Apicots, orange, and spices. Heavier than the first two.
The Glenmorangie was excellent, but a bit heavy. I really liked the Glenlivet 15yr French Oak. The sweetness was very nice. The Oban was good, but I enjoyed the other two more.
What should I try next?

I would head down to Macniven's, or some other place with a good selection, and try a couple from each region.
