I am spaniel - Crusher of Treadmills
Happy Feet - 7/14 The Scream Half marathon, goal PR (<1:50 should be easy to get even on my ridiculously low mileage as this is a run down a mountain).
The other Goal is trash the quads completely on this big downhill run and yet run another 13 trail miles the next day.

That's quite a gutsy stab for a first 50 miler NICE
MTA: after checking out last year results VERY GUTSY stab in the dark! GOOD LUCK Steph!
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson

Oh-oh. Maybe I should re-evaluate...I have time yet.
Goals only go one way here....
can't believe i'm doing all these races. will be my 3rd race in about 4 weeks. making up for the span of 7 or 8 months when i did nothing. not really sure how i'll hold up for this race, as this distance could be a bit beyond my range right now. should be a lot of fun though, i always loved this race. i believe it will be the 7th time i've completed it.
good luck to you others racing in july. it looks like a good lineup for the group.
This event also has a 2 mile run ~ My whole family is going and doing the 2 ~ Small town carnival afterward.
I have done nothing to indicate I can break 31 in a 5 mile ~ But it seems reasoanle to me. I have run anything from mid 31s to low 29s at this race.
This is the race I broke my arm in last year - Not a goal race, just need to go back and finish. I did my 1st hill grinding workout last night (95F and humid) I sucked. The race has 4,900 of elevation ~ 5 hours ... Last year 4 people broke 5 hours.
Long dead ... But my stench lingers !
Once again, WhoDat was the instigator and C-R the supporting bad influence....
