Consistently Slow
Run until the trail runs out.
SCHEDULE 2016--
The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff

Imminent Catastrophe
Me too, it's 7 or 8 though.

"To obtain the air that angels breathe you must come to Tahoe"--Mark Twain
"The most common question from potential entrants is 'I do not know if I can do this' to which I usually answer, 'that's the whole point'.--Paul Charteris, Tarawera Ultramarathon RD.
√ Javelina Jundred Jalloween 2015
Cruel Jewel 50 mile May 2016
Western States 100 June 2016
Guessing you guys are registered in 2012. I am running this year too. BIG NUMBER 1. First time. Woo Hoo. Any advice?
Go slow. 2 miles downhill. 4 miles uphill. Peachtree is an event not a race. Enjoy. Watch for the bagels at Publix, the pastor with the holy water and the guys from Moe's throwing t shirts to the crowd.
This will be my seventh Peachtree. I agree with the others advice; you'll miss out on half the fun of the Peachtree if you're running it for serious time. Enjoy the crowd and the sights, it's definitely more of an event than a race. Willy's also often has t-shirts, and getting a beer along the way is not unheard of either.
old woman w/hobby
This will be my third Peachtree. Start wave B. DH is in start wave C.
